Financial Aid Night

            A Financial Aid Night will be held on this Thursday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m. for seniors and their parents. This will be a chance for seniors and parents to explore the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. There will be a representative from ISM College Planning to review the FAFSA and the differences in available financial aid. Please enter door 1.

Winter Guard Community Night Tonight

            The Mooresville Winter Guard is hosting a Community Night in the north gym on Tuesday, January 15. It starts at 7:45 p.m., but make sure to arrive early in order to get a seat. They will be performing “Your Canvas Within” as they start this year’s IHSCGA competition season.

Spring Play Auditions Next Week

   Spring Play auditions are Tuesday and Wednesday Jan 15^th and 16^th from 2:45-4:30 in the auditorium. If you are auditioning for an acting part you must attend both days. If you are interested in stage crew you only need to attend Tuesday for the first 15 minutes. The full length play this year is “Play On” a comedy in 3 acts. Anyone attending MHS can audition, you do not have to be in Drama Club or have taken any theatre classes. For more information see Mrs. Kassen in Room 122.

Prestige Portraits coming to MHS Wednesday

   Seniors, if you have not yet had your pictures taken by Prestige Portraits, the deadline is February 1. If you can’t make it to one of the locations, Prestige will be coming to Mooresville High School on Wednesday, January 16 to take photos. There will be no charge if you have your photo taken at the school.

Souper Supper

            Student Council will be selling tickets for the Souper Supper starting Jan. 9. The Souper Supper will be hosted on Friday, Jan. 25 in the Mooresville High School’s cafeteria before the Winter Homecoming game starting at 5 p.m. lasting till 7 p.m. Tickets for students and adults will be five dollars, and children under five are free. All the profit raised will be donated towards Riley Hospital for Children. Come help MHS Student Council raise money for a great cause and even enjoy soup along with deserts!

ECA Boot Camp Begins at MHS

The sophomore English teachers started ECA boot camp with their classes today. Students were split up into companies within their classrooms, or platoons. Each company was ordered to make their own flag to represent themselves. They will work within these companies in order to learn the skills needed to prepare themselves for the upcoming English 10 ECA.
