2022 Spring Baseball League
WHO: Special need athletes- youth and adults
WHAT: The League of Miracles is a non-profit organization in the Camby/Mooresville area that provides recreational adaptive sports. Join the Spring Baseball Season!
Where: League of Miracles located at 7101 E. Landersdale Road; Camby,IN 46113
When: Every Tuesday and Saturday during the month of June. Tuesday: Youth league starts at 5:30p.m. and the adult league starts at 6:30p.m. (Times are subject to change)
Dates June 4,7,11,14,18,21,25, and the last game is June 28th.
How to Register:

Jaiden West's Message to Seniors
Issue 7 of The Pulse was written completely by seniors, for seniors. This issue was as personal to us as the relationships we have formed with you all over the years, and the ones you have formed with each other. Change is painful. Drastic change is even more painful. We have gotten used to the comfortability of the day to day schedule of school, the assurance that we will see our friends and have tranquility from whatever issues we may have had the day before.
The same reason why we feel better when we hear that someone else failed the same test we did is also why “going out into the real world” is often described as lonesome. Finding comfort through people we can relate to is sometimes the only thing that can get someone through the day. As the Class of ‘22, we have had our entire high school career disrupted due to a worldwide pandemic. Such an experience is something that very rarely has happened in history, yet something that we can understand. Many of us can now joke about what we were thinking when we first learned that’d we’d be off an extra two weeks of school. Experiences like that, even the more mundane ones, is what ties us together as we leave highs chool and embark on our futures. Many of us have gone to school with the same people since kindergarten, and I myself find it hard to wrap my mind around that there will come a day, very soon, that I will no longer find comfort in seeing those faces in the hallway.
I’m not Dr. Disney, but I, and the newspaper staff, would like to leave you with a few words of encouragement. While we may no longer be high schoolers, the world itself can often be comparative to a school. Every day we are sat down and taught lessons, things that are expected to help us in our future. It’s easy to forget them once we walk out of the school doors, and believe that we will never actually use what we’ve been taught. The world is full of lessons and if we’re not looking, we might miss them. Being open to the lessons that we are taught can be the small line between success and failure.
We do not need some magic answer to be successful, we all have the power already inside of us. It’s time for all of us to move on and finally find the answer to what we have been asked since we were little: “what are you going to do when you’re older?”

The Mooresville Varsity Tennis team is currently 2 - 3 as of 4/19/22. The varsity team consists of 10 kids; Kate Oberle , Emily Walker, Maleah Soladine, Alyssa Kline, Katherine Wymer, Casey Condon, Alicia Grider, Jemma Jenkins, Faith Lynn, and Breanna Lybarger. With all of the weather delays and cancelled matches, the girls have still stayed strong and have done their best this season so far and will continue to strive to do their best.

Softball Photos April 2022

Varsity Softball has had a very successful season so far, as of 4/18/22 they are 12 - 1 and 2nd in the Mid-State Conference. Alex Cooper has pitched a no-hitter game against Decatur Central, striking people out 15 times. Zoey Kugelman hit a home run her first time batting during the Decatur game. Just like Baseball, Softball also won the Battle of 67, going 4 - 0 against Decatur Central. Pitcher Alex Cooper and Catcher Kendall Lowry have an amazing bond, being able to strike out as many people as they already have this season.

The 2022 Spring Baseball season is starting up, as of 4/14/22 the Varsity is 5 - 0 with their season just starting up. With Nick Wiley's Pitching skills, Brody Bond's Catching skills and Hogan Denny's In Field skills, this team is sure to strive in the right direction this season. The Varsity team consists of 14 members, JV with 15 members, and Freshmen with 15 members. On 4/12/22 the varsity team won the Battle of the 67 trophy against Decatur Central!

Christmas, but When?
Once Halloween night passes, the gift-giving and family-based holidays are coming right up. Some start celebrating Christmas on Halloween night, while others may believe in waiting until Thanksgiving. Every person has their own time preference as to when to start celebrating Christmas, but what really is the perfect day to start celebrating?
During Halloween time, many enjoy decorating and preparing for the holiday, but when it is over people become sad and without having anything to look forward to, life becomes boring. By beginning to celebrate Christmas the day after Halloween, there is no time to be bored by typical life, as you have a new holiday to look forward to.
Christmas is a big holiday to celebrate for many Mooresville citizens, so there are typically plenty of things to prepare for in the time before Christmas.
Some may argue that Thanksgiving should be celebrated first, but there are not nearly as many Thanksgiving themed things to celebrate as there are Christmas. Thanksgiving is a mostly food and family based holiday, so there are not many things you can start celebrating until the actual day. There also are not many decorations to buy and decorate with, which is a large tradition before Christmas that many spend a very long time preparing.
“Christmas should be celebrated after Thanksgiving, because if you do it before Thanksgiving you’re letting off some bad luck,” senior Cheyenne Gregory said.
If Christmas gives people something to look forward to, maybe it isn’t so wrong.
Gravity Falls
Mooresville's Secrets( Gravity Hill )
Officer Billy Snyder first heard about Gravity Hill in the 70s and says that Gravity Hill has been known to pull cars uphill for decades. People would drive to the exact hill in between 710 Keller Hill Rd and 708 County Hill Rd to put their car in neutral. Then, the car would start being pulled uphill. Some say that the heavier the car the faster it goes. Some also say that it matters if the car is facing east or west. It definitely works though and was even on an episode of MythBusters. The hill is actually a very convincing optical illusion, so even today people still visit it.
“I think everyone should try it. It's really cool how you look like you're being pulled up a hill,” Snyder said.
