Senior Golfs at State Today
Today, October 4th 2013, is a historical day. Danielle Warthen of the Girls’ Golf team is heading to State.
Warthen is the first female golfer from Mooresville to ever make it to state, and is among other individuals from Yorktown, Penn, Carmel, and Valparaiso.
Warthen teed off today at 8:48 a.m. on the 10th tee at road 9 along with Emily Tilton of Pendleton Heights, Jaycee Bunner of Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, and Hailey Harris of McCutcheon.
This season’s student section has been the most energetic it has been for a while. A large portion of this Pioneer pride can be attributed to Student Section Leader Donavon DeVault. I recently interviewed him over what has made this season such a success in terms of student body participation. Q: What are your thoughts on this year’s turnout for all of the games? A: I’ve been extremely impressed with this year’s turnout. Everyone has really done their part to this season as fun as it can be so far. Q: How early in advance do you tend to plan for Friday nights? How much have you spent? A: I usually plan for each game about two to three days ahead of time. It helps me to not stress out over whether I think I’m prepared or not. I have spent a little over 500 dollars on this season alone. You have to have the cash if you want to make sure everyone can participate.
Q: What has been your favorite theme overall this season? A: My favorite them is a toss-up between hick night and hawaiian night. T…
