ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
 
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY:  Freshman, Megan Phillips
Megan finished 9th at the IHSAA Regional meet in Greensburg, IN.  She put forth a great effort, and broke the school record for the third time this season.  She first broke the record in mid-September running the 5k race in 20:06.  One week later, she improved the record, running 20:02.  At regionals, she started strong, and crossed the finish line in 19:46, re-breaking the school record by another 16 seconds.  Megan is a great encourager and has led her teammates to their strongest performance of the season, earning a trip to compete in the IHSAA Semi-State meet this past weekend.
 
MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
FOOTBALL: Senior, Bram Wood
Bram had a solid performance in the 31-12 victory over Franklin County on Oct. 12th.  Bram recorded 7 solo tackles & 8 assist tackles to go along with 2 sacks in the game.  He played both ways the entire evening on the offensive line and as linebacker and all special teams.  Bram has displayed SOLID character and leadership throughout the year for the football program both on and off the field.

Homecoming Queen Candidates by Abby Cox

Senior Peighton Noel is nominated for queen for winter homecoming court. Noel’s activities include cheerleading, HOSA, and she is the Editor-in-Chief of The Pulse. Noel’s favorite things include sushi, her best friends, fleetwood mac, and her two dogs. Her love for animals has influenced her to pursue the career of a veterinarian. Noel is being escorted by junior Sam Henderson.

  Senior Taylor Robertson has been nominated for winter homecoming queen. Robertson’s activities include cheerleading, Key Club, Best Buddies, and will soon start unified track. Robertson’s favorite things include mac and cheese, the color yellow, her dogs, music, hair and makeup, and the artist Russ. Robertson enjoys hanging out with her best friends Elizabeth Gillin, Peighton Noel, and Camille Gonzales. Robertson…
