ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
VOLLEYBALL: Senior, Audrey Baysinger
Audrey serves as captain of the volleyball team this year and has done a great job of building the overall team communication throughout the season. Audrey this past week was statistically the team leader in kills with 37 for the week, putting up 18 kills against Greenwood, 6 kills against North Putnam, and 13 kills against Crawfordsville. She is a leader on the stat board, yet she brings much more to the court in aggressive drive and motivation for her team. She is a driving force at the net and a driving force at the heart of our team.
MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
BOYS TENNIS: Sophomore, Peyton Baker
This past week Peyton posted a 3 -1 overall record with wins over Beech Grove, Martinsville and Owen Valley. Peyton competes at 2 Doubles and has currently posted the overall best record on the team at 7-3 this season. Peyton has been consistent throughout the season and has stepped up at doubles with very strong, aggressive play. He is very enthusiastic and is committed to the program both on and off the court.

by Cassidy Kelley Food drive donations from MHS reached an all-time high with a total of 4,749 canned and boxed goods; a significant rise from the 938 that were collected last year. Mr. Clint Swalls’ class brought in an average of 42 items per student, thus winning them the free breakfast. Mr. Matt Bosworth’s class came in a close second with an average of 34 cans per student. Great job Pioneers!
